I described about Packing Too Much before, whereas, some customers bring their original bag when they go to grocery store rather than getting a plastic or paper bag recently. I found a couple of unique services for those customers in two stores.
First, in WholeFoods Market in SF, they check 5 cents back to the customer if the customer does not need bag. In addition, the customer is able to donate this 5 cents then. I felt that this service is really suitable for regional culture.
Second, in Meiji-ya Hiro-o, this store provides garbage bag to the customer who does not need bag. You may feel it weird. In fact, everyone living in Tokyo has to through their garbage by sucking into half-translucent plastic bag. For this reason, eiji-ya provides their original garbage bag to the customer instead of shopping bag if the customer bring their bag.
As I illustrated above, interesting services are increasing for My Bag customers. In my perspective, clothes and electronics stores will develop unique services soon.
I'm looking forward to finding a new service for My Bag users.
